How do I check my own Grameenphone number?

Type *2# on the dial pad and press call — the number appears on screen. This code is given identically in several published sources, which makes it the most commonly used route.

Usefully, *2# is not unique to Grameenphone — the same code is reported to work on Robi and Airtel as well. So even if you are unsure which operator the SIM belongs to, it is worth trying.

On a dual-SIM phone, one thing matters: select the right SIM before dialling, or you will see the other number or nothing at all. Most handsets ask which line to use when placing the call.
